Copa Libertadores - How and where to watch Matchday 4 of CONMEBOL's premier club tournament

September 21, 2020 By Oscar Rojas
We are halfway through in the group stage, which means that every game could be decisive to each team's fate in the competition.

The first half of the Group Stage in the Copa Libertadores is officially over. Now, all teams will have to increase their efforts if they want to earn a spot in the next stage of the competition.

Independiente del Valle's win over Flamengo with a 5-0 score was, without a doubt, one of the most surprising results from Matchday 3. Other score that should be considered are the 2-2 draw between Sao Paulo and River Plate, which has left everything to play for in Group D. Added to that, Boca Juniors' 2-0 win at Libertad's stadium has seen Los Xeneizes take the top spot in Group H with three games left to be played.

Having said all that, here is how all the groups look like before the beginning of the second half of the group stage in the South American tournament.

Matchday 4 will begin on Tuesday, September 22 with six games. All activity will continue on Wednesday with seven matches, and on top of it all, there will be three more games being played on Thursday.

These are the games scheduled to be played on Tuesday, including Flamengo's attempt to redeem themselves, River Plate's visit to Perú, and Sao Paulo's trip to Ecuador.

Wednesday's matches will have Colo-Colo and Palmeiras as two of the headliners, but the real excitement will come hours later, when Gremio and Internacional take their Brazilian rivalry to the international competition, in what should be one of the most exciting games to watch in the group stage.

Matchday 4 will come to an end with only three matches, but that is no excuse to let it fly under our radar. The presence of three teams that have made their mark in this competition (Peñarol, Boca Juniors, and Santos) will keep fans on the edge of their seats, especially considering that Peñarol could be facing an early exit from the tournament in Group C.
