The Red Devils are apparently edging closer in their quest to sign the Borussia Dortmund sensation.

Manchester United have made a significant breakthrough in their chase for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, a report from England has revealed. The Red Devils are said to be closing in on the 20-year-old attacker's transfer after finally scaling over the impasse surrounding personal terms and agent fees.

Despite talks of Sancho's exit from Dortmund cooling in recent weeks, the player still remains Manchester United's top transfer target this summer. However, a move to Old Trafford has increasingly become difficult with Die BVB sporting director Michael Zorc suggesting that the former Manchester City academy star will not be sold in this window.

With Dortmund refusing to compromise on their 108 million-pound valuation of the young attacker and having rejected United's initial advances, another issue that surrounded the purported transfer had to do with the player's wages and agent fees.

According to Sky Sports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side has made massive progress in their pursuit in the past 24 hours as they have managed to sort out hindrances that came with Sancho's salary and fees to be paid to agents. With that out of the way, an official bid is expected to be submitted to Borussia Dortmund in the coming days.

Sancho is reportedly eager to seal the move to Old Trafford before October 5th but that will not happen until Dortmund change their stance on his sale and accept the bid from Manchester United. Meanwhile, the 20-year-old England international was recently in action for the Three Lions in their successive win and draw with Iceland and Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.
