The Chilean footballer left the club after a disappointing spell, which forced the Red Devils to loan the player to Inter Milan last season.

Alexis Sánchez left no stone unturned when discussing why he realized his stint at Manchester United was not going to work since the first day he trained with the club.

Speaking in an Instagram Live session, the Chilean ace spoke about life at Old Trafford, and even hinted how he tried to convince his agent to cancel the deal after just one training session.

In the video, Sánchez also explained how he had already agreed to seal a move to Manchester City, but "football things" prevented him from completing the transfer.

"Speaking about my experience in that club (Manchester United). Before I joined them I had agreed a transfer to Manchester City, but football's strange ways gave me the chance to join Manchester United, which was quite tempting to me because I liked watching them when I was a kid. I ended up signing without knowing what was going on within the club. Once there, and with the first interactions with my teammates I realized some stuff I couldn't have known from the outside. I realized a lot of things after the first training session, and I remember going back home and telling my family and my agent that I wanted to terminate my deal there and go back to Arsenal."

The Chilean player went on to admit that things could have gone better for him if he had been given the chance to adapt  better to his duties. Lastly, he praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for letting him join Inter on loan, as he "needed some breathing space" from the toxic environment he faced with the Red Devils.
