Chivas de Guadalajara and C.F. Pachuca headline Liga MX’s Matchday 7 of the Guard1anes 2020 tournament on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 7:55 p.m. ET through Telemundo Deportes’ exclusive coverage.

Chivas de Guadalajara and Pachuca will settle their differences at Estadio Omnilife on Saturday night. Guadalajara enters this matchup in the 12th spot of the Liga MX table after losing three of their five previous matches. Meanwhile, Pachuca enters in 6th with hopes to extend their two-game win streak.

Pachuca took part in one of the games of the season so far, scoring a decisive penalty to defeat bottom of the table Mazatlan 4-3. Los Tuzcos took a two-goal lead early in the game, but their opponents leveled after a couple of goals right before and after halftime. Pachuca responded with another goal and Mazatlan answered again in the 86 minute. However, Victor Guzman's strike from the spot in added time ultimately separated the two sides, helping Pachuca to their third win in six games.

On the other hand, Guadalajara believed they could defeat top-4 bound Toluca, as they arrived at Estadio Nemesio Diez with consecutive wins. Chivas played a good game against a strong Toluca side but fell 1-0 in the end. However, Chivas' performance did not resemble the result, and that could propel them to arrive at the City of Fountains with a chip on their shoulders.

Chivas vs Pachuca: Players to watch

Chivas – Uriel Antuna

Mexican midfielder Uriel Antuna enters this matchup with two assists in four matches played. He played an important part in Chivas' only two wins of the season, assisting once in both games. Victor Manuel Vucetich left Antuna out for the squad against Toluca and his side lost. Maybe that helped him realize that the 23-year-old midfielder has an important role in the squad.

Pachuca – Luis Chavez

Mexican midfielder Luis Chavez has played a total of 430 minutes over six matches and has proven to be key in Paulo Pezzolano's side. It is hard to single out one player in a team that has seen six different scorers after just six games. Chavez is yet to score a goal but has played a part in them during buildups assisting twice. Expect the 24-year-old to be ready for a challenge in facing a mighty Chivas side.
