The Frenchman scored a vital opening goal in Sunday nightt's European cup final.

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman will go down in history as the player to score the Bavarians' 500th goal in the UEFA Champions League. The 24-year-old registered the vital opener to ensure that his side become the third in history to reach that tally in the competition. 

Sunday night's clash was characterized by a series of attacking moves from the camps of both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. However, none of the sides could make due with the influx of chances in the first 45 minutes. 

The turning point in the came 19 minutes after proceedings resumed for the second half with Kingsley Coman providing the breakthrough for Bayern. The Paris Saint-Germain youth academy graduate, unmarked at the far post, redirected a cross from Joshua Kimmich into the net for his second goal of the competition.

In effect, Coman took Bayern Munich's goal tally in the Champions League to 500, making the club only the third after Barcelona (517) and Real Madrid (567) to achieve the feat.
