The Bianconeri will be cutting ties with two players ahead of Pirlo's tenure as the new manager.

Serie A champions Juventus are set to terminate the contracts of Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira, a report from Italy has revealed. The two players will be entering the final year of their current contracts but the Old Lady are said to have made a decision to force their respective exits.

Higuain, who will turn 33 in December, has failed to fully establish himself as reliable No.9 for the Turin club despite excelling for Napoli before his acquisition. To highlight the underwhelming spell the Argentine international's has had at the Allianz Stadium, he was allowed to secure loan moves to AC Milan and Chelsea with the hope of experiencing a renaissance.

However, not much changed for Higuain following his return to Juventus. This season, the striker managed eight goals in over 32 appearances in the 2019-20 Serie A season and was the third choice for Maurizio Sarri who preferred both Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala to the ex-Napoli star.

For Sami Khedira, injury has been his biggest enemy at Juventus. This season, the former Real Madrid star made only nine appearances in Serie A. Following the arrival of Arthur Melo from Barcelona, the midfielder is expected to have little to nothing to do.

With Pirlo assuming the seat as Juve's new manager, the pair have reportedly been told that they are not be part of the club's pans for next season. According to the trusted Fabrizio Romano, talks are ongoing for the two players to be released.
