Suárez must decide between two transfer bids

Two European heavyweights reportedly interested in signing Luis Suárez

August 19, 2020 By Oscar Rojas
The Uruguayan was not named by Barcelona's president in the list of players that will not leave Camp Nou, and two teams are already bidding for the South American's services.

As soon as the alleged transfer list issued by Josep María Bartomeu was revealed, there have been rumors about the potential landing spots for some of those footballers. Some of those are yet to receive any offers, but Barcelona's striker Luis Suárez has reportedly been sought out by two former European champions.

According to reports from Spain and Italy, the Uruguayan striker may be living his final days at Camp Nou Stadium after Friday's fiasco against Bayern. The 33-year-old striker was not named by Bartomeu in the list of players that will not leave Los Culés this summer, and teams such as Ajax and Juventus have already made their moves to try and lure the striker away to their training grounds.

The former Liverpool ace would have to lower his wages if he chose to accept Ajax's bid, but the chance to go back to where he became a global football icon would be a good option for the South American ace.

Suárez's transfer to the Italian top-flight would be a bit easier, especially since Juventus are indeed looking for a striker. Suárez would have the chance to play alongside Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, in what could turn into one of the deadliest attacks ever seen.

The player's deal with Barcelona is set to expire next summer, which means that the time for Barcelona has come to figure out what they want to do with Suárez. There is an existing clause in the player's deal which would see his deal at Camp Nou automatically extended for one more year if he manages to play 60% of next season's games, but with his age and injury record in hand, that feat seems easier said than done for the Uruguayan.
