The Argentine tactician is one of the most praised bosses available in the world, but that is not the case among Blaugrana supporters.

While fans around the world would be delighted to have Mauricio Pochettino around, his potential arrival to Camp Nou has gathered several comments that have nothing to do with the previous statement.

The former Tottenham boss has been linked with Barcelona even before the game against Bayern, but team supporters will not agree with his arrival due to Pochettino's previous criticism of the club, its supporters and the team's hierarchy.

According to Marca, Pochettino's signing would be seen as the final insult by Josep María Bartomeu to fans and board members, mainly because the Argentine has stated four times he would not like to coach Los Culés. One of those moments even saw Pochettino stating that he'd rather "go live on a farm" than coach the Blaugrana side.

To make matters worse, Pochettino is a diehard Espanyol fan and has never hidden his desire to coach Real Madrid, something that came close to happening right after Zinedine Zidane stepped down as Los Blancos' boss in 2018.

Back in 2017, Pochettino kept on bragging about how influential Espanyol has been in his life, and he dared to compare Los Periquitos and his potential new club.

"On a personal level, I am who I am thanks to Espanyol's values. It's more than a football club, and I can't picture myself being identified with Barcelona's values. I am really happy living in Barcelona and Catalunya is my city, but when it comes to teams, I grew up with a different set of values," Pochettino added back then.

So, if Quique Setién's arrival was frowned upon by some of Barcelona's most radical supporters, we simply can't picture the reaction caused by Pochettino's signing after snubbing so many times the chance to coach Los Blaugranas.
