The Cameroon international proved to be the hero for the French outfit with very little of the game left to play.

French outfit Paris Saint-Germain progressed to the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League for first time in 25 years following a remarkable win over Atalanta on Wednesday night. Les Parisiens kept it late to secure victory, scoring twice after the 90th-minute mark to eliminate their Italian opponents.

Thomas Tuchel's side was forced to stage a comeback against La Dea who flaunted their immense attacking ability once more by getting the game's opener. A swift exchange of passes in the half of the French outfit was capped off with Mario Pasalic's putting the ball at the back of the net with a left-footed curler.

Despite constantly knocking on Atalanta's door for a response, PSG's brilliant attacking build-ups resulted in poor finishing. As a result, more attacking reinforcement was sought with Tuchel introducing the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Julian Draxler into the fray but to no avail. 

However, it will the emergence of Eric Choupo-Mouting in the 82nd minute which proved crucial to the contest. First, the former Schalke and Stoke City attacker - who replaced Mauro Icardi - set up Neymar Jr to assist Marquinhos for PSG's equaliser in the 90th minute. Wednesday night's win ensured that PSG will be playing in the semi-final of the Champions League for the first time since 1995. The French capital out will meet the winner of tomorrow's clash between RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid on August 18.
