How to watch Inter vs Leverkusen in the UEL quarter-finals in 100+ countries on August 10

August 10, 2020 By Michelle Bonsu
Both Inter and Leverkusen will be battling for a coveted spot in the Europa League semi-finals when they meet up on August 10th. Live Soccer TV's match preview provides match facts, team news, and global broadcast listings for Inter vs Leverkusen.

Preview: Inter vs Bayer Leverkusen

Inter come into this game having finished second in Serie A, only one point behind Scudetto winners Juventus. The Nerazzurri concluded their domestic campaign on an excellent note,  including ending Atalanta's long-standing unbeaten run with a well-deserved 2-0 win, and had they been able to avoid dropping points earlier, it's quite clear that they likely would have beaten Maurizio Sarri's side to the league title. Following their third-placed result in the Champions League, Antonio Conte's men dropped down to the Europa League, and they now arrive to the quarter-finals stage after defeating Spanish outfit Getafe 2-0 in the round of 16. Although it was far from a stellar performance, the Nerazzurri still got the job done and are now into their first European quarter-final since the 2010/2011 season, when they made it to that stage in the Champions League.

Inter have already qualified for next season's Champions League thanks to their runners-up finish in Serie A, but the Europa League presents a good chance at silverware for Conte's first term in charge of the Nerazzurri. And now that they're into the final eight of the competition, one can certainly be sure that the former Juventus player and manager will certainly be hoping to add a European trophy to his managerial cabinet this season. However, their upcoming opponents, Bayer Leverkusen, led by Peter Bosz, will have the same objective in mind. Die Werkself were beaten in the DFB-Pokal by serial winners Bayern Munich and finished in fifth spot in the Bundesliga.

That means they've missed out on automatic Champions League qualification, and can only secure a place at European club football's premier tournament via winning the Europa League. They come into this game having earned a narrow 1-0 win over Scottish side Rangers to make it 4-1 on aggregate and although star player Kai Havertz has been linked with a move away to Chelsea, he's still with the squad and will naturally look to depart the BayArena with at least one winner's medal around his neck.

For the Nerazzurri, they'll be looking to obviously make it to the semi-finals - and perhaps beyond. The last time they did so was in 2010 - and they went on to win the Champions League and made history in the process as the first Italian side to win the coveted Treble. Meanwhile, Leverkusen are hoping to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League for the first time since the 1994/95 season. With this being a one-off game, there's even more at stake. Which side will come out on top?
