With the Blaugrana gearing up for their Champions League clash, the manager was asked if he fears for his job heading into today's tie.

Barcelona are set to return to the field for the first time since wrapping up their disappointing La Liga campaign. The focus shifts to the Champions League, with the Blaugrana aiming to end their disappointing European record as of late when they take on Napoli.

However, given their form in the final games of the Spanish top-flight season, the Catalan giants are in grave danger of crashing out at the hands of the Italians. If that occurs, what will certainly follow is talk of Quique Setien's sacking.

However, according to the Camp Nou boss, he has not given that a single thought. Speaking ahead of the 2nd leg of Barcelona's round of 16 showdown, Setien insisted that he does not fear losing his job if Messi and Co. bow out today.

"The reality is that it has never crossed my mind that this is my last game,' he told reporters," the Blaugrana gaffer told reporters, as per the Daily Mail.

"We have prepared the game thoroughly. We are going to face everything to Portugal with the same energy."

"We have improved many things. We have lacked continuity in doing those things that we do well.

"This is a process that is always there. You do not always face the same rivals, everything varies. We can see in some circumstances that sometimes things are not done well.

"The identity has not been lost. We have all heard about the Barca DNA and the club's philosophy, another thing is the nuances of each coach.

"Since we arrived we have tried to recover certain things that we understand that Barca represents. We have achieved many things. We are happy about some aspects of the game, other aspects are damaging us. We keep trying to improve every day."

The game is currently tied at 1-1. An Antoine Griezmann goal rescued a draw for the Catalan giants and while they boast an impeccable home record in Europe, predicting the result will be no easy task.

The Blaugrana's form has suffered a huge dip since football returned. In their last nine games, the Spanish giants have failed to win almost half of them (4) and while only one of those four stumbles ended in defeat, that is still poor for a club of Barcelona's stature.
