After winning the Coupe de France, PSG will look to clinch the Coupe de la Ligue as they take on Lyon in the final on July 31st.

Preview: PSG vs Lyon

PSG come into this match having won the Coupe de France. A solitary goal from Brazilian superstar Neymar in the first half was enough to see the capital giants past Saint Etienne, but the victory came at a high cost as they'll be missing French star Kylian Mbappe for this match. The World Cup winner suffered a bad ankle injury during the clash with Les Verts and is now going to not only miss this game, but could be set to miss their upcoming Champions League tie with ambitious Serie A outfit Atalanta next month.

So far, Les Parisiens have won two titles - the Ligue 1 trophy and now the Coupe de France. They will be looking to make it a domestic treble by adding the Coupe de la Ligue, but upcoming opponents Lyon, who finished in seventh during the recently completed domestic season, will have other ideas. Rudi Garcia's men are also very much still afloat in the Champions League, where they hold a 1-0 win over Juventus from the first leg of their round of 16 tie. So far, they've been warming up for both the Coupe de France final as well as their Champions League clash with the Bianconeri by featuring in a series of friendlies and have won all of these ties save for a 2-0 defeat to Scottish side Rangers on July 16th.

This clash will be especially fascinating as Les Gones will be hoping to get some sweet evenge on Les Parisiens. Garcia's side have not exactly had the best of luck against their upcoming opponents, lfailing to win all three of their encounters so far this term. Indeed, Lyon not only lost both home and away to the Parisian giants this season in Ligue 1 but also were dumped out of the Coupe de France by Les Parisiens at the semi-finals stage after suffering a humiliating 5-1 loss.

Team news: PSG vs Lyon

PSG: The biggest absentee for PSG is Kylian Mbappe, who avoided major ankle ligament damage, but will not be available to Thomas Tuchel for this game. Other absentees for PSG include Thilo Kehrer due to a hip injury.

Lyon: Youssouf Koné and Kenny Tete are both out for this match, with Kone being a definite absentee and Tete being a major doubt.
