Will Juventus finish out the season on a strong note, or just stumble over the finish line?
It was really only a matter of time before Juve won the Scudetto, but they didn't make it easy for themselves. Against Sampdoria, the Bianconeri were quite poor, and were quite fortunate their opponents were unable to take advantage of their insipid play as they managed to earn a 2-0 victory to make sure the league title stayed in Turin for another season. Had they played a stronger opponent, things could have turned out differently - and given Inter a glimmer of hope at making things a lot more interesting heading into the final two matchdays of the season.
Juventus were really lucky that Lazio self-destructed at a crucial moment starting with their 3-0 loss to Milan, and the Aquile never recovered after that. That gave Sarri's side the buffer they needed to alleviate some of the pressure the capital-based side had been applying to them all season, but rather than take advantage of that, they continued to drop the ball, losing to Udinese and throwing away a 2-0 lead against Milan while barely hanging on for a draw with Sassuolo. They do have an excellent record against Cagliari - where they've won their last eight away games - but the way they've been playing so far, the Rossoblu just may be hoping that this time around, they could possibly snatch a point - or possibly more on Wednesday.
