The league season concluded with the top performers getting recognition for their respective exploits.

Jamie Vardy, Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson Moares were honored by the Premier League for being the top performers in the competition on the final day of the 2019/2020 season. The trio bowed out of the campaign by clinching awards for the top-goalscorer, top playmaker and the goalkeeper with the most cleans sheets respectively. 

At the age of 33, and with 23 goals after 38 league matches, Vardy became the oldest player to win the Premier League Golden Boot. Despite failing to score in the final day's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, the Leicester City striker ended up staying a goal clear of the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Danny Ings. Both players scored in their respective outings against Watford and Sheffield United.

In the playmakers' department, Kevin De Bruyne was in a league of his own. With 20 assists in the season, the attacking midfielder clinch the award, equaling Thierry Henry's record for the most managed by a player in a single campaign.

Meanwhile, De Bruyne's teammate and Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson beat Burnley's Nick Pope to the Golden Glove award after securing his 16th clean sheet of the season with the final day's 5-0 win over Norwich. His closest rival, Pope, was dealt the mishap of conceding in his side's 2-1 loss to Brighton.
