The Blues are on the verge of securing Champions League football for next season.

Chelsea made a massive statement in the race for top four by grabbing a couple of goals in the first half of the afternoon's clash with Wolves. The Blues took a two-goal lead in stoppage at Stamford Bridge to safeguard their status for another 45 minute.

Following an underwhelming performance early on, the Blues finally broke the deadlock in the second minute of stoppage time thanks to Mason Mount's stunning free-kick. Two minutes later, Olivier Giroud rounded Rui Patricio to double his side's advantage going into the break. Watch the goals below:

With Chelsea needing a win to ensure their complete safety, the significance of Mount's and Giroud's contribution cannot be understated. As things stand, Frank Lampard's men should finish in third ahead of Manchester United should the Red Devils draw with Leicester City.
