The Blaugrana side is ready to cut their losses when it comes to the Brazilian's future, who has been deemed surplus to the team's requirements.

Barcelona keeps looking for a way to get rid of Philippe Coutinho, and now they have targeted a Premier League team as his potential destination.

According to reports coming in from France and England, Coutinho is nowhere near from returning to Camp Nou Stadium, since he has been ruled out by the team's board and Quique Setién for next season.Coutinho's wages also represent a problem, and while the chances of watching him leave on a permanent transfer, the club is willing to pay a portion of his salary to whichever team hires him.

With that in mind, the Blaugrana hierarchy has gotten in touch with their counterparts at Arsenal in order to offer them a swap deal. Coutinho would pack his bags to join the Gunners, and Matteo Guendouzi would fly to Barcelona as part of the negotiation.

This would solve a problem for each team. First off, Barcelona would get rid of a portion of the massive deal signed by Coutinho, and they would get a reliable, young talent in exchange. As for Arsenal, Guendouzi's future under Arteta seems doubtful, and a new environment could be just what the player needs to get his head in place after the recent entanglement he was involved in during a clash against Brighton.

The deal, according to Foot Mercato, is still in its initial stages, but watching Coutinho back in the league where he dazzled the world with Liverpool would certainly be interesting to witness.
