With the title on the brink, Los Blancos will try to put a cherry on top of their impressive run after the coronavirus pause. Will there be a life line for Los Culés?

It all comes down to this: Real Madrid and Barcelona will decide who is crowned La Liga's champion in the most unique campaign in Spanish football ever, and both of Spain's most famous teams will try to put up a good show to win the crown or to keep their hopes alive.

Real Madrid has a four-point lead before Thursday's game over Los Culés, who will try to shorten that gap if the team coached by Zinedine Zidane slips up. It will take more than a smile for both teams to win their respective home games, and with both matches taking place at the same time, neither team should hold anything back if they want to reach their respective goals.

As for their opponents, Villarreal is still in contention to earn a spot in the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League. Osasuna on the other hand has nothing to play for, since they have already succeded in their battle to avoid relegation and their options to make it to sixth place are more than slim.

Let's have a closer look at each game

Real Madrid vs Villarreal - A win will do the trick for Los Blancos

Zinedine Zidane's men can afford to draw both of their remaining games and still be crowned as champions, but why should they wait for it when they can claim the crown on Thursday? The Spanish capital side has been flawless since they returned from the coronavirus break, winning nine out of nine and conceding only three goals since the break.

Meanwhile, Villarreal's run after the pause got them close to UEFA CL spots, but after losing two of their last three, all they can do now is try to maintain their fifth spot intact and play in the UEFA Europa League next season.

Did you know? Real Madrid has only lost one of their last six La Liga games against Villarreal when playing as hosts.

Barcelona vs Osasuna - Win or die trying for Los Blaugranas...and then wait

Quique Setién's men have no choice: they have to win their match against Osasuna to keep their title hopes alive. Unfortunately for them, that might not be enough to win the title. Los Blaugranas dropped a two-point lead when the league resumed, and it seems that claiming the title for the third season in a row would be similar to a miracle.

On the other hand, Osasuna's seaon can be considered quite successful, since Los Rojillos were never truly involved in the battle to avoid relegation. Jagoba Arrasate's men will try to finish the tournament on a high note, and what better way to do so than beating Barcelona at Camp Nou for the first time since May 23, 2009.

Did you know? Barcelona has scored 33 goals against Osasuna in their last six meetings at Camp Nou (all comps), with Lionel Messi finding the back of the net 15 times during that run.
