Things are not going the right way for the Blaugrana side just when they need as much cash as possible.

Barcelona has run into one more problem during this tumultuous summer, but this time it is away from the pitch.

The Blaugrana side is four points behind Real Madrid in the title race, but at the moment, their main focus is to try and collect as much money as possible to fund potential transfers for next season. Well, the club will have to make do without up to $25 million after their kit sponsors dropped the ball with the new jersey.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the team's jersey for the 2020-21 season was set to be made available for fans to buy next Wednesday, but one of the versions of this jersey (the cheaper one) will not be available for purchase. The reason for this setback comes from Nike itself, since the color on the jersey washes out.

Estimations by Barcelona and the American kit manufacturer state that the club was set to sell between $15M and $25M in the next few weeks, since the jersey is usually purchased more when it has recently been released. Unfortunately for Los Culés, this will not be the case this season, since the cheaper version of the kit will not be available in the team's store or online.

This situation has been the cause for concern among Barcelona execs, who are urging Nike to pay the club their share of the money, something that the American kit manufacturer is not willing to do.
