Preview: Torino vs Lazio

Hosts Torino find themselves in a rather precarious position after losing 4-2 to Cagliari last weekend. The Granata sit in 14th place, with just one win from their last five Serie A games and while they are not exactly in danger of relegation just yet, their poor form could see them slide further down the table unless if they find a way to turn things around quickly. Although they do manage to find the back of the net, they really struggle defensively, as was shown against Cagliari, where they tried to claw their way back into the game after going 3-0 down but couldn't find a way to keep their opponents at bay in order to hang on for at least a point.

Meanwhile, Lazio managed to get past Fiorentina in order to move to within four points of Juventus, but Viola fans will certainly feel aggrieved by the result. The Tuscan side had a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Franck Ribery, but saw things turn against them as the Aquile were given a penalty that Ciro Immobile converted for the equalizer before Luis Alberto grabbed the game winner late a few minutes before regulation time concluded.

A win here would help the capital-based club and Scudetto aspirants re-close their gap on Juventus to just a point before the Bianconeri face another struggling side, Genoa, in the later game. However, Lazio will have to make do without coach Simone Inzaghi as he was sent off during their clash with Fiorentina for his outburst during stoppage time.
