Cristiano Ronaldo has not been spared by football fans on social media after failing to guide Juventus to the Coppa Italia trophy. The 35-year-old Portuguese attacker ended up with an unwanted feat, losing two consecutive cup finals with a club side for the first time ever.
Despite coming close to scoring on multiple occasions in regulation time, Ronaldo could not fully stamp his dominance in the game. Inside the 90th minute, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star had a glorious opportunity to steal victory for his side but skewed his effort.
During the penalty shootouts, Ronaldo did not get his chance to potentially set his side on course for a win. Napoli prevented the Portuguese star from featuring as a fifth taker by scoring with all of their first four attempts. The day's result saw the former Real Madrid ace lose two consecutive Finals with a club sides for the first time in his career. The first time this happened to the player was against Lazio in the Italian Super Cup back in December 2019.
Below are a few fan reactions:

Ahan I thought Ronaldo is a world class coach too , afterall he coached Portugal to an European trophy
Ronaldo is not a better leader than Messi. It's proven time and again how Messi puts the team ahead of himself even if that means humiliation. Meanwhile Ronaldo's waiting to score the winning penalty whilst defenders are lining up to shoot.

Messi makes sure he's the first to shoot to boost team's moral, regardless of the outcome but you see that warlord Ronaldo? He'd want to take the last one just to hoodwink the media to say he won it for the team

Juventus thought they got a player not knowing they bought jerseys.
Y'all thought Cristiano Ronaldo went to Italy to conquer it for Juventus??

Nah. Ronaldo went undercover as a Juventus player to liberate the country from the tyranny of Juve.
Ronaldo wanted to take all the glory by scoring the last penalty so he can jump like dolphin & take all the glory as usual after ghosting full 90 mins.. Proper Fraud attitude..... LMAOOO
