The French manager landed himself in an illustrious company with Sunday's league outing.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, on Sunday, joined an elite list as his side resumed the 2019/2020 La Liga season with a home encounter against Eibar. The fixture, which was won 4-1 by the hosts, saw the French boss become only the third manager of the Spanish capital club to reach 200 games in all competitions.

The game was greeted with a flying start as Toni Kroos broke the deadlock for Real Madrid after just three minutes. The skipper of the side Sergio Ramos subsequently grabbed the second following a quick counter-attacking move in the 30th minute before Marcelo sealed the emphatic first-half win with a low strike in the 37th-minute.

In the 60th minute, Eibar managed to pull a goal back through Pedro Bigas. Meanwhile, the day's win took Zidane's total haul to 132 in his 200 appearances in all competitions. He has so far drawn 42 games and has lost 26 across his two stints as Real Madrid manager.
