Cristiano Ronaldo and his Juventus teammates were unable to generate appraisal from their fans on social media following their performance in Friday's Coppa Italia clash with AC Milan. Ultimately, it was the 1-1 draw in the semi-final first leg that saw the Bianconeri seal qualification to the final, after a drab 0-0 draw at the Allianz Stadium.
Following a rather calm start, Juve had the opportunity to take the lead in the 15th minute but saw the chance go down the drain. VAR reviewed a handball involving Milan's Andrea Conti and decided to award the hosts with a spot-kick.
The chance was subsequently squandered by Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese forward and his teammates would end up having more chances against the 10-man Rossoneri but were unable to convert any.
Still, it was the former Real Madrid striker's vital strike in the first leg at San Siro that earned progression on the basis of away goals. The feat takes Juventus' appearances in the Italian cup competition to 19. They have won 13 of the titles so far.
The Old Ladies could meet either Inter Milan or Napoli in the final. After winning the first leg via a 1-0 scoreline, the Partenopei will welcome the Nerazzuri to their home grond in the semi-final second leg encounter on Saturday.
Meanwhile, there was a general sense of unsatisfaction among the Juventus fanbase on social media following Friday's result. Athough the game was the club's first since the coronavirus led to the suspension of the season, many believe a more convincing display was of the essence with their next league game against Bologna just around the corner. Below are a few reactions:
Juventus should sack Sarri abeg.. He's obviously poor in coaching

But no
All of you will expect Ronaldo to play his life out
When the midfield is crappy #JuventusMilan
Football has broken down in Italy. Juventus go into the final deservedly. Milan far back physically. Poor physical preparation will be a problem for many teams. #JuventusMilan #Juventus #CoppaItalia #calcio #football pic.twitter.com/V99f3puEwL

This is the problem Ronaldo is having at Juventus. The Midfield creativity is poor. He has create secondary chances by himself and expect them to return it and assist him. Ronaldo is suffering. Sarri is also a problem.

80+ Minutes against 10 Men, 0 Goals#JuveMilan
With poor midfielders at Juventus and Sarri as their manager, I doubt that team will conquer Europe.
