The French midfielder is expected to return to action once the Premier League resumes, even if these could be his final games with the Red Devils.

The transfer market after the past few months will definitely change, but even with those changes in the way of making business, Real Madrid's latest reported attempt to sign Paul Pogba seems like a long-shot.

According to The Sun, the Spanish side will try to sign Pogba and will also try to use that move to offload some of the players that have been deemed surplus to the team's requirements by Zinedine Zidane. In this case, the English tabloid claims that Los Blancos will try to include four footballers in the negotiation to sign the midfielder.

The publication issued today states that Martin Odegaard, James Rodríguez, Lucas Vázquez and Brahim Díaz would be included in the negotiation for the French star, who has not played a single minute since September.

Out of these players, only Lucas Vázquez has featured regularly for Los Blancos during Zidane's second stint, while James and Díaz have had testimonial performances throughout the season. As for Martin Odegaard, the Norwegian ace has been impressive at Real Sociedad, and such a good season could see him raising interest from other clubs.

Negotiations are not expected to move forward until the end of the season, but if Los Blancos pull this off, they would manage to check two of their top priorities for the offseason: reducing their current payroll (Real Madrid has 35 players under contract) and landing Zidane's top priority for the past two years.
