Live football is back! Bundesliga season returns this weekend with Revierderby kicking things off
Football is back! Fans of the beautiful game who have been craving for live matches can now rejoice as the Bundesliga is set to return to action this weekend. The German top-flight is the first major European competition to come out of the coronavirus-induced suspension and one of the league's most-heated derbies will kick things off.
That clash is the Revierderby, the showdown between Dortmund and Schalke. Signal Iduna Park will be the venue for this tie and while BVB's famous stadium will not be packed with 80,000 fans due to social distancing guidelines, we can still expect a feisty fixture. Sancho and Haaland will get the opportunity to team up once more, with Favre's sensational duo scoring more goals in 2020 than the entire Schalke team combined.
Form does not favor Die Knappen. They failed to win any of their last seven league games prior to the suspension and have only triumphed once in their last 10 German top-flight outings. S04 are in the midst of a heated race to qualify for the Europa League and are in need of all three points. ESPN networks set to feature classic Major League Soccer showdowns for MLS Rivalry Week
As the name says, the MLS Heineken Rivalry Week will see ESPN air classic showdowns from some of the biggest rivalries in Major League Soccer. Everything from the Hudson Rivery Derby to El Trafico are scheduled to air on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, including the Portland Timbers vs. Seattle Sounders battle from June 25, 2017 which saw the legendary Clint Dempsey score a late Cascadia Cup derby equalizer.
Fans can re-live the heroics of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of the biggest and most high-profiled names to have graced the competition, in the showdown between LA Galaxy and LAFC back in July of 2019. This clash was made all the more exciting by the rivalry between Ibra and Carlos Vela, with the Swedish icon claiming to be the best player in the league ahead of his Mexican counterpart, who finished as the top scorer of the 2019 regular season with 34 goals. Despite Vela's amazing campaign, this encounter turned into the Ibrahimovic show as the iconic striker carried his side to a 3-2 victory, scoring all three goals for his team.
#WorldCupAtHome campaign wraps up with two unforgettable finals
The #WorldCupAtHome campaign is sadly coming to an end, with three games set to draw the curtain on nine weeks of full re-broadcasts from FIFA's major competitions. Of the three games, two are finals, unforgettable ones to be specific. The first of the last three replays to be shown on FIFA TV via YouTube is the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Cup final between Mexico and Brazil. This game saw some of El Tri's biggest talents in recent years grab the spotlight, as the likes of Carlos Vela and Giovani Dos Santos led their nation to the title by beating the Selecao in the ultimate game.
The 2014 World Cup quarter-final showdown between Brazil and Colombia will also be re-aired. This match is remembered for two things: the horrible injury Neymar picked up which brought his campaign to an end and the heartfelt moment David Luiz and Dani Alves consolidated a tearful James Rodriguez, the breakout star of that World Cup edition, after the final whistle.
The 2018 World Cup final between France and Croatia will wrap things up and what a befitting end this will be for the #WorldCupAtHome campaign. Lovers of the beautiful game can re-live the crowning moment for Mbappe and Co. as they beat Modric's side, the darkhorses in Russia.

Serie A and Primeira Liga are the latest European top-six leagues to announce their return dates. The Italian top-flight have proposed June 13 as their return date, which is subject to governmental approval, while the Portuguese top-flight is aiming to get things back underway on June 4.

MLS proposes mass quarantine in Orlando
Major League Soccer is aiming to get things back underway in the safest way possible and one idea brought forward is a mass quarantine. This would see the isolation of over 1,000 people (players, coaches, staff, etc) at a big resort near Disney World to finish the 2020 MLS season behind closed doors at the Disney Sports Complex and other locations.
