Although the Blaugrana side seems to have the upper hand in this negotiation, it seems that PSG's offer could be tempting enough for the player.

Barcelona is still thinking about next year's reinforcements, but they will have to fight harder to hire one of those players they have targeted for next season.

According to a report by RMC Sport, the Blaugrana side entered a bid to sign Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic. Things seemed to be going fine for the Spanish side, but a third party has tried to improve their bid and could be close to lure Pjanic to their league.

That team is none other than Paris Saint-Germain, who would splash the cash for the midfielder and would also be willing to include one more player to make negotiations easier. According to the French publication, PSG's offer is higher than Barcelona's, but the Blaugrana side are seemingly ahead in the race to sign Pjanic because they placed their bid first.

Furthermore, Pjanic is seemingly eager to play in La Liga, which would make his switch to the Camp Nou easier.

RMC Sport's article suggests that Los Culés have also offered Arthur Melo as part of the deal, and while Juventus is considering the possibility, Arthur's desire to keep playing for the La Liga giants could see Barcelona's plans to ship him away fall apart.

As of now, both leagues are preparing to return to action folliwng the pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Let's see if these claims have an effect on each team's performance for the rest of the season.
