One of the member's of Los Blaugranas' hierarchy added that Lautaro Martínez is the man the team should try to hire in the next window.

If there was still a glimmer of hope left in all Barcelona fans to see Neymar returning this summer, one of their team execs has squashed that possibility.

The Brazilian ace's signing, while still a desireable business for the Blaugrana side, has been deemed impossible in an interview to L'Esportiu by an anonym Barcelona executive.

In the interview, the unnamed exec admitted that the club wants to lure "Ney" back to Camp Nou, but his massive wage demands forbid such a move to take place.

"It's evident that we would love to sign Neymar, but we have to be realistic when we say that having him back this summer is virtually impossible. Watching Neymar back seems utopic right now," the exec said.

The team executive went on to discuss the implications Neymar's signing would bring to the Catalan side.

"If we want to lower our first-team wages, how is it possible to bring Neymar, when he collects over 30 million euros every year? It can't be done," the source added.

In fact, the member of Barcelona's board added that having Lautaro Martínez is far more feasible that luring Neymar back to Camp Nou.

"I'd bet all my money on Lautaro's signing than trying to sign Neymar," the source concluded.
