The Spanish boss discussed in detail how the Blaugrana outcast could have a spot in the team's roster next season.

Just when everyone thought that we had seen Philippe Coutinho's last game wearing Barcelona's jersey, team boss Quique Setién has opened up on the player's transfer situation and admitted he could still have a spot in the team's locker room.

Speaking in an interview with radio station RAC1, Setién admitted that he is monitoring Coutinho's situation closely and he would be open to have him around for next season.

"Coutinho? I like him very much. He is still a Barcelona player. You have to pay the clause or a transfer fee to Barca. I think he can be here at the beginning of next season," Setién said.

Setién kept on discussing Coutinho's future, and while he hinted that he would be open to have him around next season, it will be up to the player to decide where he wants to play.

"I don't know if he wants to come back or go away again, I have to talk to him to ask him. He is a great player, no doubt about it," Setién added.

Coutinho has been linked to Chelsea and other Premier League clubs after a somewhat disappointing loan spell at Bayern München. The German side could still make the loan deal permanent, but it might take more from the Brazilian in the remaining Bundesliga games to twist their arm...if the season resumes at some point.
