Los Blancos are plotting to add both the Dortmund and PSG superstars to their squad. Here's how they intend on achieving that.

Real Madrid always have their eyes on the best names in the game; as a result, it comes as little surprise that they are being linked with Haaland and Mbappe. Many wonder if Los Blancos intend on signing both attackers and if so, how. Marca have now revealed the Liga giants’ plan for pulling this off.

According to the Spanish publication, the 13-time Champions League winners desire to add both the Norwegian starlet and the French superstar to their squad. However, Florentino Perez will not push to make this happen in the same transfer window.

Haaland is the immediate priority, with the Spanish club keen on signing him this summer. With Luka Jovic failing to impress and the aging Karim Benzema dropping in and out of form, Real Madrid are prioritizing a move for the Dortmund youngster. He burst onto the scene for Salzburg in the Champions League before joining his current Bundesliga club and has been nothing but amazing ever since.

In 11 appearances for the German giants, the 19-year-old has scored 12 times, including a brace against PSG in the Champions League. A huge boost for the Spanish Primera Division heavyweights is the striker’s release clause, which is estimated to be $82M – a fair price in the current market.

As for Mbappe, he remains high up on Zidane’s wishlist. The Bernabeu boss is a huge admirer of his countryman but the club are aware that it would be difficult to land him in the upcoming window due to two reasons.

The first has to do with Neymar and the Brazilian’s future at Parc des Princes. The world’s most expensive player looks destined to leave Paris once the transfer window re-opens – it’s unclear when that will be due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the Ligue 1 giants will not entertain the idea of selling Mbappe in the same window as Neymar.

Additionally, the World Cup winner isn’t in any rush to leave the French capital despite his aspirations to don the Real Madrid jersey. Los Blancos will thus wait until both the player and his current employers are ready to enter the negotiating table. The summer of 2021 is marked as the ideal date as Mbappe will be entering the final year of his PSG contract which would, in turn, save Perez and Co. millions.
