Reports coming in from England suggest that both EPL clubs will try to lure the player away to the league, but not on a permanent basis.

Philippe Coutinho's return to the Premier League could take place sooner than expected, but not in the form he would have wanted to do so.

According to a report by The Mirror, Coutinho's loan spell at Bayern will come to an end when the current season concludes, and the German outfit is not ready to exercise an existing clause in his deal to make his stay at Allianz Arena permanent. Hence, Coutinho will be one of the top free agents out there, and two EPL clubs have been tipped to be interested in his services: Chelsea and Manchester United.

Coutinho dazzled the league during his spell with Liverpool, but he has failed to replicate his form ever since with Barcelona and at Bayern. With that in mind, both English sides will consider bringing the Brazilian ace in, but they would only do so on loan.

Initially, Barcelona wanted to cash in on the player, with their asking price being a bit over $87M. Nevertheless, his not so productive season at Bayern may force Los Culés to consider all options before having the player around with no clear path in his future.

Coutinho has scored nine times and handed out eight assists at Bayern, but he has not been able to secure a spot in the team's regular lineups despite his efforts.
