The South American ace could be keen on a fresh start away from the Blaugrana.

Man United finally completed a deal for Bruno Fernandes during the January transfer window and the Portuguese ace has been nothing but a hit since his arrival. In fact, the former Sporting ace was named the Premier League Player of the Month for February after only five games in the English top-flight.

However, despite this, the Red Devils are reportedly still keen on adding a more attack-minded midfield to bring more creativity and a goalscoring threat – a number 10, if you will. According to Mundo Deportivo, the player Solskjaer is eyeing to fill that role is Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian superstar was a hit in the Premier League; however, since leaving Liverpool, his career has been nothing but a nightmare. He sealed his dream move to the Camp Nou but failed to impress and was often jeered by the Blaugrana fans only to be shipped off to Bayern Munich on loan.

In Germany, the Brazilian has been awarded more freedom whenever he plays but inconsistency means he has only started 15 times out of 25. Despite this, he has exhibited his undeniable talent, albeit in glimpses, scoring eight times and assisting six in the Bundesliga to garner interest from Man United.

The Old Trafford side aren’t the only English club interested in the 27-year-old as Chelsea are reportedly keen on bringing landing the Selecao ace. However, it is reported that the Red Devils have already inquired about Coutinho.

Bayern Munich have the option to buy the Brazilian, as per their loan agreement with Barcelona, but it remains unclear whether the German giants will exercise this clause. If not, then his Catalan employers will likely offer him to the highest bidder in an attempt to recoup as much as possible from the $192M they spent to sign him back in 2018.
