The Gabonese striker's future at the Emirates Stadium has been cast under further speculation amid rumors linking him with a move to Italy.

The rumors surrounding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future continues to do the rounds. The latest reports now link the Premier League superstar with a move to Serie A despite the rumored interest from Barcelona.

The Gabonese ace is Arsenal talisman forward and captain. However, the striker is entering the final year of his contract and is yet to sign an extension, meaning the north London giants could be forced to sell this summer in order to avoid losing him for nothing next year.

One club that has been heavily linked with the former Dortmund ace is Barcelona. Due to Suarez’s fitness issues and age, the Catalan giants are on the hunt for a new number nine and have reportedly identified Aubameyang as their man.

However, an Italian club have thrown their hat into the ring and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they are Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri have made the Premier League their shopping ground since Conte’s arrival and they look to return to the English top-flight for more signings.

Furthermore, the report claims that the Italian giants would also pursue Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud. However, it should be noted that Conte’s side will only go after these two English top-flight strikers if they lose Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine is one of the hottest strikers in world football right now and is high up on Barcelona’s wish list. Lautaro himself is rumored to be keen on partnering countryman Lionel Messi at Camp Nou, which could make it difficult for the Nerazzurri to retain his services. Furthermore, Alexis Sanchez looks to depart San Siro once his loan deal expires, hence their desire to strengthen their attack.
