The coronavirus pandemic could see football's governing body acting together with UEFA to solve this particular issue.

The world of football has been rattled by the current coronavirus pandemic, and with that in mind, it seems that UEFA and FIFA have found a way to help those players that are about to end their current deals with the teams they play for right now.

According to a report by The Athletic, both football entities have decided to give players a chance to sign short-term deals with their current clubs in order to finish the season off. Since there is no clear indication on when all leagues will come to an end due to this disease, this could be a suitable option for players that will end their deals with their clubs this summer.

Apparently, UEFA and FIFA would be open to the idea of players signing one-week deals to complete the season, rather than the usual six-month deals, which is the shortest any player can sign at the moment.

In the next few weeks, the top football leagues in the world will decide when and how their seasons will come to an end, and if there is a league that goes on beyond June, the possibility of short-term deals could solve that complication.
