The French ace was expected to return with the Red Devils in the past few days after a long injury spell on the sidelines.

Manchester United fans had made up their minds in  regards to Paul Pogba's future with the club. But even if most supporters believed they would witness the Frenchman's last months at Old Trafford, the player seems determined to stay a bit longer with the Premier League giants.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Pogba is willing not only to stay around to help the Red Devils fight for the title next season, he is also ready to extend his commitment to the club for as long as possible. Surprisingly, his decision to do so has to do with new boy Bruno Fernandes.

The 26-year-old is quite impressed by Fernandes' input to the team, and the chance to link up with him when he earns his matchday fitness back may play a decisive factor in his decision. Furthermore, the team's chances of playing UEFA Champions League football next season at Old Trafford may also be behind this decision.

The player and his agent, Mino Raiola, have been quite outspoken about his future, with Real Madrid and Barcelona named as potential destinations for the footballer. Unfortunately for Pogba, his previous words could come back and haunt him during the summer, as the Red Devils have done very well without him.

Pogba has only been able to play seven games this season due to an untimely ankle injury. He has only handed out two assists for the Red Devils, and even if he may have lost his spot in the lineup at the moment, his return could boost Manchester United's hopes for success both in the UEFA Europa League and in the Premier League.
