Manchester City was made to pay the ultimate price in Sunday's derby with the Blues goalkeeper Ederson gifting the Red Devils a goal at the latter stage of the encounter. A poor sense of judgment on the part of the Brazilian resulted in Scot McTominay smashing home his side's second of the game.
With more than 90 minutes played and the 1-0 scoreline pointing at a win for Manchester United, City's Ederson presented the former with the perfect opportunity to seal the win with yet another piece of goalkeeping error. Prior to the mishap, the 26-year-old former committed a blunder in the first half by failing to save Anthony Martial's opening goal at the near post.
In the latter incident, the goalkeeper - after saving Fred's pass intended to find Daniel James - ended up throwing the ball into the path of Scot McTominay in a bid to start a rapid counter-attack. The United academy product simply hit the ball all the way from the half-way line to spark celebrations inside Old Trafford.
