The Frenchman landed in the league's record books for his goal in Sunday's clash with Manchester City.

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has attained multiple Premier League milestones for his goal contribution in Sunday's derby with City. The 24-year-old forward combined with Bruno Fernandes to hand the Red Devils the lead priot to the end of the first half.

A moment of brilliance produced the breakthrough for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men and it all started with Bruno Fernandes earning a freekick following a tackle by Ilkay Gundogan. The former Sporting skipper then dispatched the kick quickly into the foot of an eargely awaiting Anthony Martial to beat Ederson at the near post. Watch the goal below:

In essence, Martial extended his goal tally for the 2019/2020 Premier League campaign to 11 to match his highest-ever scoring season in the competition. The former AS Monaco subsequently became the first Manchester United player after Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2006-2007 to score both home and away against Man City in a single Premier League season.

Martial is also only the first Manchester United player after Eric Cantona to score in three successive starts in Premier League Manchester derbies. The latter scored in five consecutive games between March 1993 and April 1996.
