Things at Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium haven't gone exactly as their fans, players, coach or owners would have wanted, and this whopping moment wasn't part of the plan for sure.
Minutes after the home team lost the penalty shootout against Norwich, Eric Dier decided to storm the stands searching for a fan. After making it 20 rows into the stands, Dier started throwing punches and screaming at one person before he was restrained by other fans and security personnel. The reason? The man was allegedly insulting Dier, who's family was near where the fan was sitting.
The incident was well documented by fans sitting in that section. Have a look at what happened by scrolling down.

Here is my angle of Eric Dier going into the stands after the #TOTNOR match. He was supposedly going after a fan for chanting inappropriate things at players. #COYS #THFC pic.twitter.com/rduG13vszd

While such behavior can be reprehensible, coach José Mourinho shared the reasons why Dier jumped into the stands to have a go at the fan, and while he criticized him as a professional football player, he can't criticize him as a human being.
"This person insulted Eric... the young brother was not happy...and then Eric did what we as professionals cannot do but did something that probably we would do."
