Football fans on social media have singled out Chelseas goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga for plaudits for his performance in the first half of Tuesday's FA Cup tie with Liverpool. The 24-year-old Spanish shot-stopper produced an eye catching display at the Stamford Bridge to ensure that his side ended the first part of the proceeding in the lead.

The former Athletic Club shot-stopper and his teammates started the night's clash on the right foot thanks to Willian's 13th minute goal. After the Brazilian had given the Blues the lead, it was at to the man in his side's post to ensure that nothing the advantage remained intact and such was the case at half-time. Kepa produced a series of brilliant saves and, at one point, denied Liverpool the opportunity to grab an equalizer by keeping them at bay thrice in succession in a matter of seconds. In essence, the Spaniard's top performance comes as a positive considering that he has been made to sit out Chelsea's last six matches prior to Tuesday's cup tie. This is due to to his dip in form that has seen the Blues concede 31 goals in the 24 times he has featured in Premier League this season. The player has also managed just five clean-sheets in the process and ranks as the goalkeeper with the worst save per shot ratio.
