The former Los Blancos superstar was in attendance at the Santiago Bernabeu during Sunday's epic clash.

Aside the end to end affair between Real Madrid and Barcelona in Sunday's El Clasico, another center of attraction that caught a lot of traction had to do with the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 34-year-old Portuguese forward made an appearance at his former stomping grounds to witness his teammate beat Los Blaugrana by two goals to nil.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus side was supposed to welcome title rivals Inter Milan to the Allianz Stadium on Saturday but saw the game called off as a precaution by the Italian government to tackle with the coronavirus outbreak in the country. Instead, the Portuguese superstar spent the day by traveling to Madrid watch El Clasico from one of the VIP boxes at the Bernabeu.

In retrospect, the ex-Real Madrid No. 7 was not disappointed as his former teammates staged a strong fight to deal with the blushes of Barcelona. Vinicius Jr opened the scoring for the host in the 71st minute and dropped a 'Ronaldo-esque' goal celebration before Mariano Diaz sealed victory with the game's second in the 92nd minute.

Generally, it was a good day in the office for Zinedine Zidane's men who were without a win in El Clasico since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus in the summer of 2018. Prior to Sunday's game, the Meregues had made five appearances in the Portuguese talisman's absence and had lost on three occasions while drawing the remaining two games.

Below are a few posts of how fans reacted to Ronaldo's return to the Bernabeu:
