The English legend is set to begin his adventure as Inter Miami's owner, and plans to bring big names to the club can't be discarded.

There has been much talk about the chances of watching either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi joining David Beckham's new team in the MLS, but the former midfielder had never spoken out loud regarding this issue...until today.

The former Manchester United footballer spoke in the eve of his new franchise's debut in the MLS, and while he acknowledged the skills of those in his squad, having either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo around would do wonders for the project and for the league.

"We really believe in the roster we have, the players that we have we're really happy with but we have also talked about if we have the opportunity to bring in big name players from Europe into our city we will do that. Every team in the world would want Messi and Ronaldo in their teams," Beckham stated.

Beckham then went on to discuss what will make Inter Miami a different kind of team in the MLS since Day One.

"When you talk about hands on there is no bigger hands on owners than you are looking at right now. This is not a vanity project it is a legacy for us, for our families. I want to create a legacy that my children can turn around in 20 years and say my dad built this club," Beckham added.

Inter Miami will begin their run in the MLS against LAFC on Sunday amid a legal dispute that could force Beckham's club to change its name.
