The clash between both Spanish football giants would be used to open a state-of-the-art venue in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2020 International Champions Cup is set to take place right after the UEFA Euro, and plans to hold a new edition of El Clásico in Europe are already underway.

According to a report by The Washington Post, the match would be the first major sports event in the brand new Allegiant Stadium, which will be the home of the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL in September. As of now, the schedule of the International Champions Cup is yet to be confirmed, but the possibility of watching this game taking place is there.

"We are always exploring compelling matches, but at this time, no ICC matches are finalized," said Ben Sosenko, a spokesman for Relevent Sports Group, the company in charge of organizing the tournament.

This would see Los Blancos and Los Blaugranas playing a second El Clásico in the United States. Their first clash took place in Miami back in 2017, with a sellout crowd watching the match that concluded with a 3-2 score for Barcelona.

The state-of-the-art venue is set to hold 61,000 fans, and while the playing surface will be artificial turf, a grass field will slide in and out of the facility, according to reports.
