Dani Ceballos was not shy about how things could have gone differently for him if he had decided to snub Arsenal last summer, and while he seems to be in peace with himself, we can't help but think he did not make a proper move.
The Spanish international told the Mirror how Liverpool tried to lure him away to Anfield during the offseason, but in the end, he chose to follow Unai Emery's footsteps and join him with the Gunners. As you all know, Liverpool is dominating the Premier League, while Arsenal is struggling to make it back to the top ten spots of the EPL.
"That a club like Liverpool loves you is a pride, but my decision was to go to Arsenal because (Unai) Emery grabbed mu hand and told me to go together," Ceballos told the Mirror.
The midfielder went deeper into the reasons why he chose to snub the Reds, and one of those reasons was none other than Jurgen Klopp's playing style.
"Klopp is a great coach, but you have to see the game philosophy of each team. Right now, players of my philosophy wouldn't fit a team like Liverpool in the best possible way. But that you are related to the greats is because you are doing things right," Ceballos added.
The Spanish midfielder has played 17 games for the Gunners since joining the London club this season. Even if he has performed properly for Arsenal, Emery's departure may see the player returning to Real Madrid, since he has only been able to play one game under new boss Mikel Arteta.
