The French footballer has been out of action due to an ankle problem, and the team will still have to wait to have him around.

Paul Pogba's dismal season at Manchester United will see him miss yet another bunch of games, as the player is not expected back on the pitch until next month.

The French footballer underwent an ankle surgery earlier this year, and while there were hopes to see him on the pitch later this month, the team's medical staff has suggested to take a cautious approach on his return, which will keep him on the sidelines until March 8, the day when the Manchester Derby is scheduled to take place.

According to the Daily Mail, Pogba does not require to use his protective boot anymore, which is seen as a sign of progress in his recovery. Even so, Manchester United's doctors believe that rushing his return would be counter productive on his health.

Pogba is reportedly eager to go back on the pitch, where he will try to earn a spot in the 2020 UEFA Euro for France. Furthermore, he would be around to play only in his fourth derby since he returned to Old Trafford in 2016.

Pogba has only played eight games this season for the Red Devils in all comps, with no goals scored and only two assists. He has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for most of the season, and if his injury woes continue, it will be hard to see him securing a deal elsewhere.
