According to the former footballer's opinion, having Mbappé around would make the Reds even more scarier up front.

Liverpool's massive success has been fueled by a mix of impressive coaching and how the players have adapted to Klopp's orders. Even so, there are some experts and former players out there that believe things could be even better with a couple of moves during the summer.

According to former Red Danny Murphy, Liverpool's outstanding attack could be improved. In order to do that, Murphy would hire Kylian Mbappé to inspire even more fear in opposing defenses, and the man he'd choose to drop from the squad is none other than Roberto Firmino.

"Could you get in another striker who gets in as many goals as Firmino? Yes. Is Firmino replaceable? Yes. Anybody is. It would change the dynamic. If Liverpool were to lose Firmino and get Mbappé, would that be a more scary front three? I think if Mbappé was playing up front with Mané and Salah then that would be more scary than Firmino, Salah and Mané. That's just me," Murphy said.

The UEFA Cup winner with Liverpool in 2001 added that he is not criticizing Firmino's input to the team, but having a deadlier striker would boost Liverpool's attack, especially with the Brazilian being linked with a move to the Bundesliga.

Added to that, Murphy compared Firmino's possible exit to those of some key strikers in the past, such as Kevin Keegan, Ian Rush or Luis Suárez.

"I'm not belittling what Firmino's done, he's a wonderful footballer. It's a bit when Kevin Keegan left; Kenny Dalgish came in. Luis Suárez left, 'Oh, who's going to replace him? And then you've got Mané, Salah and Firmino now. Football does move on," Murphy concluded.

The 28-year-old has scored ten goals in 35 games for Liverpool this season, while he has also handed out ten assists this campaign.
