In this preview for the FA Women’s Super League London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham, we will look at these two rivals’ head-to-head record, players to watch and broadcast listings including where and how to watch the match.

Joe Montemurro's Arsenal comes into this match hoping to spark good form as middle of the table Tottenham fights for pride sitting in seventh place, three points short of fourth-placed Manchester United.

The Gunners are in dire need of a win. Having lost its last previous two FA WSL matches to Chelsea and Manchester City, Arsenal has put itself in a dangerous position. Man City is the leader of the table with 36 points, meanwhile, Chelsea IS in second with 35 points and a game in hand. Arsenal has lagged sitting in third with 33 points.

Goal differential has added more heat to the fire in the race for the WSL trophy. The three-time champion – most in FA WSL history – conceded four goals against Chelsea, 4-1, and two against Manchester City, 2-1. Now, the north London club's goal differential 26 while the Blues have 34 and the Citizens 29.

Getting promoted to a league is like a job application. In Tottenham's case, they did well in building a strong resume finishing as runners-up of the FA Women's Championship in the 2018-2019 season. Tottenham was accepted in top-flight English football with the opportunity to show that they can be an asset to the league. And so far, the Lilywhites have not disappointed.

Arsenal's fellow north London club, Tottenham, has won five, drawn one and lost seven on the season. Karen Hills and Juan Amoros have found positive results against lower opposition but have not found a single point against any of the teams that are currently above them – Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Reading. Nevertheless, Tottenham will look to gun down the Gunners on Sunday's outing to avenge their 2-0 home-loss earlier in the season.

Arsenal vs Tottenham: Head to Head

The north London derby in women's football is young compared to the men. While the men have their 200th derby scheduled for April 25, the women have only met three times before.

The first came in the shape of an FA Women's Cup fixture that ended 10-0 in favor of Arsenal, of course, on March 19, 2017. Fast forward to August 25, 2019, and these two premature rivals met again in a club friendlies match that ended 6-0 to Arsenal. Their last meeting was on November 17, 2019. This time, Tottenham was not thrashed losing 2-0. The match attracted over 38,000 spectators, the most ever in an FA WSL match.

Revenge is the best way to describe what Tottenham is after. They could not fully please their home crowd in November, but now they head into their fourth ever match and given Arsenal's form anything can happen.

Arsenal vs Tottenham: Players to watch

Arsenal: Vivianne Miedema

The 23-year-old striker has not been at her very best as she's living through an FA WSL four-match goal drought. The Dutch forward has not scored since her brace against Everton before the turn of the year. This upcoming derby is a great opportunity for Miedema to get back to her old league goalscoring ways. If not, Chelsea's Beth England, who won the January Player of the Month award, will keep creeping in on the Golden Boot.

Tottenham: Rianna Dean

The Scotland international would have been Tottenham's player to watch if it wasn't for Arsenal being her parent club. Instead, we're going with a forward, Rianna Dean. The 21-year-old has scored three goals for the Lillywhites, two of those in her last three matches. If anyone is going to have chances, it will be the young English forward who will look top score Tottenham's first-ever goal against Arsenal.
