Barcelona is details away from being handed a permit to add one more player to the roster with the transfer window shut, and they seem to have identified their man.

There's still a glimmer of hope for Barcelona in their attempt to fill Ousmané Dembelé's void. With the French star's injury, it seems like a matter of time before the Blaugrana side files a motion to hire a new player before the end of the season.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the team has started negotiations with La Liga to add one more player to their roster, taking advantage of an article in the league's rule book, which allows any team to sign a player from within the league in case one of their players takes more than five months to recover from an injury.

With that in mind, and given the lack of available options out there, it seems that Los Culés have found a replacement in La Liga, which will help the team's lack of offensive players.

That man is none other than Getafe's Angel Rodríguez. The 32-year-old striker has scored nine La Liga goals this season, making him the top scorer for Los Azulones. The team has already stated that they will not negotiate with Barcelona, but his $10M buyout clause seems like a bargain for the Blaugrana side.

On this note, Getafe's sporting director Angel Martín admitted that the club is ready to let Rodríguez leave if Barcelona comes up with the amount mentioned in his current deal.

"We're calm on this matter. It's something we can't control. These are the rules, sometimes they will work for you and sometimes they will not be on your corner. If he leaves, we will have a hard time replacing him, but we're ready to carry on without him," Martín stated.

Rodríguez has scored over 100 goals since he started playing for Tenerife B back in 2002. Now the former Elche and Zaragoza player could join Los Blaugranas as a late transfer, but only if La Liga allows Barcelona to hire the player in the next couple of weeks.
