It may have been brief, but the message sent by Real Madrid's president is a token of the appreciation between both men.

Cristiano Ronaldo's relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez did not end in proper terms. Some even say that the main reason why CR7 left Los Blancos was the "disrespectful" treatment by the Spanish tycoon towards the team's star. Nevertheless, a birthday wish seems to end all claims and has made fans wonder if the Portuguese player could have one last hurrah with Los Merengues.

The player, who turns 35 today, was treated with a special edition on Portuguese newspaper record. There, a number of personalities shared their wishes towards CR7, and surprisingly, one of those personalities was none other than Florentino Pérez.

Real Madrid's president spoke to Record and labeled the player as the best out there, while also adding a sidenote on how the team yearns for his presence.

"Happy birthday to the best player in the world. We are always thinking about you," Pérez told the Portuguese newspaper.

Florentino Pérez's words were followed up by Sir Alex Ferguson, who highlighted his personality away from the pitch.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a great footballer, and what's truly important, a great human being," Ferguson said.

The player has never hidden his love for Real Madrid, and some believed that his time with Los Blancos was over. But after Pérez's words, is it too late for the Portuguese player to make a shocking comeback to the Bernabeu? Only time will tell.
