According to the reports, the air became tense when one player confronted the Special One during a training session.

Tottenham are gearing up for their midweek clash with Norwich but unfortunately, preparation for this game and atmosphere was disrupted by a bust-up between Jose Mourinho and a Spurs player.

That man is none other than Danny Rose. The English defender was involved in a heated confrontation with the Special One during a training session which, sadly for the club, did not go unnoticed.

The fullback was unhappy with the fact that he was dropped for the recent trip to Watford, which ended in a disappointing goalless draw. Mourinho felt that Rose was not in the best condition due to a recent back injury but the defender felt he had been ready and thus sought an explanation from the gaffer.

Danny, who has now been omitted from the squad for two consecutive games, was not happy and thus aired his grievances. According to the Daily Mail, the air became tense between the coach and player as voices were raised during their exchange.

Furthermore, the British news outlet adds that players were not happy with the way Rose handled the situation. While this confrontation pales in comparison to the back-and-forth between Mourinho and Pogba at Old Trafford, expect the relationship between Jose and the left-back to come under a microscope due to the Special One’s history.

The Portuguese tactician had recently been asked whether Rose remains in his plans at Tottenham after dropping him for back-to-back games but the gaffer insisted he is. As for now, the main concern is the results. Spurs are in eighth and are eight points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. The north London outfit will need to return to winning ways when they host Norwich.
