Inter's chances of winning the Serie A title are real, but Antonio Conte feels that Christian Eriksen would be the final piece in his puzzle to end Juve's dominance.
With that in mind, the Italian coach has urged Inter's hierarchy to step up their chase of the Danish midfielder, and according to the Mirror, Inter's need to sign the midfielder has led them to offer Eriksen a massive wage increase to boost his desire to leave Tottenham as soon as possible.
The report issued today in the English outlet reveals that Inter's offer would see Eriksen join the nerazzurri on a 4.5 year deal, with the Dane earning over $208,000 a week. This would see Eriksen earning twice as much as he earns with Spurs right now.
While terms between Inter and Eriksen seem to be set, the main problem now is the team's negotiation with Tottenham. The Italian side has offered a cash-plus-player deal, which would see them paying Spurs $26M, while also adding midfielder Matias Vecino as part of the deal. Tottenham boss Daniel Levy remains unconvinced, as he has agreed with Jose Mourinho that if a younger player is included in the negotiation, he will help Eriksen pack his bags.
Meanwhile, Eriksen is set to play in the FA Cup replay clash against Middlesbrough, in what could be his final game for the English side if things go as planned by his inner circle.
