The English center back picked up a muscular injury during the FA Cup clash against Wolves that could see him miss up to six weeks.

These are tough times to be a Manchester United fan, especially with the string of injuries the team has been forced to deal with.

Up to six players will miss the team's next Premier League game against Norwich, with center back Harry Maguire being one of those names. The defender was left out of this week's clash against Manchester City, and despite reports about a speedy recovery, Manchester United has decided to add one more center back to help them get through the rest of the season.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United's decision will see them search for a loan, rather than hiring a defender on a permanent deal. One of their main targets is Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla, but the Italian side may not be tempted to let one of their best players this season leave on loan.

Another idea that was contemplated by Manchester United execs saw them bringing back Chris Smalling from his loan spell at Roma, but there is no such clause in his deal, which eliminates the possibility of having the former No. 12 around.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to face Norwich with Victor Lindelof as the only fit center back. Needless to say, Manchester United needs reinforcements as soon as possible if they don't want to see their options of a top-four finish fading away.
