The North American team needs a popular player to fill the void left by the Swedish ace, and they seem to have narrowed their search.

The most winning team in MLS history wants to add one more title to their trophy case despite Zlatan's departure, and with that in mind, they have set their sights on a new transfer target.

According to ESPN, team execs have gotten in touch with Javier "Chicharito" Hernández's inner circle to analyze the possibility of luring him away to the North American league.

The former Manchester United player has been involved in 13 games for Sevilla this season, scoring three goals in 700 minutes for Los Hispalenses.

The Galaxy seems to think that Chicharito can fill the void left by Zlatan due to his connection with the team's Latin American fanbase, despite his poor performance with the Andalucian club this season.

According to the North American channel, Galaxy execs will make a formal bid for the player's services next week. The 31-year-old is yet to play a game in 2020 after being left on the bench by coach Julen Lopetegui during their one-all draw against Athletic last weekend.
